Dearest Guru Maharaja,
please accept my dandavat pranams in the powerful dust of your lotus feet.
Since a few years, I am in Russia at the time of your blessed appearance day.
You didn’t have any direct Russian disciple, but the Russian devotees are very fond of your glories. When I visited Russia the first time 10 years ago, I was surprised to find books of your teachings which didn’t even exist in English: enthusiastic local devotees had simply put together some of your lectures and translated them into Russian.
This year, as the previous years, I was required by eager devotees to glorify you. Last year, it was an audience of 200 during a festival, this year about 30 in an evening program, but both groups were stunned and mesmerized by hearing of your glories, particularly how you met our Srila Prabhupada and how he gave you sannyasa, how he sent you one of his old godbrothers from Orissa as a siksa-guru and how he came to you.
You told us that on their appearance and disappearance days, sadhus are more easily accessible and open the gates of their mercy to the souls begging for it. So, on this most auspicious day when Krishna blessed the world by sending us one of his pure devotees, I am praying at your feet that you will always engage me in preaching the vani of Sri Gauranga Mahaprabhu as taught in our guru-parampara where you have your glorious position along with our acaryas.
